So, who am I?
I’m Susie Mcleay, married and with a family, living in a lively village in North Somerset. I love living in the country, but also enjoy forays into town for theatre, film, food and festivities with friends. Making pots, singing in choirs, practising yoga, painting, walking with our dog in the woods and fields, paddling in streams or rock pools on the shore - these are the things which bring joy and love to my life, as well as being a mum, a granny, a wife, a daughter, a sister, and being blessed with wonderful friends with whom to laugh, love and drink wine!
I am in one of my happiest places in my garden, planting, weeding, watching things grow, and doing my little bit for wildlife - whilst protecting ‘our’ treasured hedgehog from a very inquisitive little dog. Gus plays a big part in our lives, being the latest in a long line of very individual terriers bringing fun (and occasional challenges!) over many years.
My journey to celebrancy began after experiencing the comfort and support a good celebrant can bring, after living through great loss myself. In the many years which have passed since then, a seed of an idea has become reality, so that I can now hope to offer that love in the same way to others, whether it be to say a heartfelt farewell, a warm hello, or to join people together in happiness. There are no limits to what we can achieve, together. I truly believe that ‘ All You Need Is Love 💜’.
